Kanha National Park
Our driver picked a message that a female Leopard and her cub were on a Samba kill and we drove fast to get there, being one of the first few gypsies to arrive. It can get to be a bit of a melee with wildlife sightings and so we were pleased to see that it was relatively quiet. The adult female had eaten her fill and had disappeared to sleep, but the young cub was still feeding sporadically. Here she is keeping guard over the carcass, getting angry with some scavenging birds who kept trying to feed on the kill.
