Stonechat, Saxicola rubicola

Near Ringford, Dumfries and Galloway
I had driven up into the hills above Ringford and used my car as a hide to photograph Stonechat that were nesting up on the moors. I was several hundred yards from where I thougtthe nest was, but the birds were actively foraging a clump of thistles, where I had parked. This is the female bird trying to land on the thistle to pick out the seeds.
